About fifty thousand years. That’s a long time! According to the EPA, Americans throw away 1.6 billion disposable pens every year. (Thank you We Hate to Waste for the stat!) I’ve never owned a fancy, refillable pen. The simple part of me has always thought, “Why spend all that money on a pen?” Even though no one I know buys fancy pens for environmental reasons, I think I may from now on for myself. Right off the bat, let me just say that fathers are important, too. But, since this is Mother’s Day…… I have an an awesome Mom. She was/is a single Mom.
